Grooming By Brittany
Brittany grew up always knowing she wanted to care for animals and began her grooming career at an early age of 16. She found her passion of pet grooming through her mother who would always take her to Grooming Trade shows all across the US.
Brittany loves grooming all types of dogs including doodles but is most fond of grooming Standard Poodles. She’s been grooming in the Sauk Valley area for 16 years and has loved every minute of it. Brittany recently started specializing in cats.
Brittany loves her clients and their parents as a part of her own. Making them feel and look better has always been her desire and when they prance around feeling like a million bucks after their spa day, Brittanys dreams have come true.
Brittany and her husband Kyle (the fish guy) currently live in the Sauk Valley area and currently have 4 dogs, but she would adopt all the dogs if she could!
Grooming By Hayley
Growing up Hayley always had a strong love for animals, no matter if they were hers or her friends. She always felt like they were put on this earth for her to love and cherish. Her first ever career choice was in kindergarten, she wanted to work with animals and become a veterinarian.
Hayley always had a love for art especially 3D art, that is why she has developed such talent in grooming. She expressed her interest in grooming to me and I knew instantly that she would have great talent in working with animals. She quickly picked up the skills needed to excel in grooming and all the animals could tell she had the best heart!
Hayley has one dog Adelaide, one cat Michael, and a leopard gecko named Ambrose, she would love to get her own place and rescue all the fur babies possible! She looks forward to learning new skills and taking her career to the next level.
Grooming By Aly
Aly always has had a special spot for all animals. Although, cats earn an extra special place in her world, she loves every single animal she sees! Ever since Aly was a little girl, she always knew she wanted a career doing hair. She started in a career as a Cosmetologist doing human hair, and shortly came to the conclusion that it was not for her!
Struggling to figure out what was next for her, other than being a cosmetologist, she knew she always wanted to work with animals! She thought about the possibly of being a Vet Tech, but then, the job opportunity at A Cut Above Grooming Salon came about & she knew this was right up her alley!
Aly has one cat named Leo who means the world to her! Her dream would be to get her own place and have a cat sanctuary, and take every single animal there is! As Aly has just started her career in being a groomer, she is looking forward to learning so much more and making this her forever career at last!

Hello my name is Baisey. As a little girl, I always dreamt of working with animals! I’ve had lot of different animals over the years and dogs just melt my heart! I got 3 of my own! Never fails to keep me on my toes! My journey into grooming started 4 years ago when I decided to become a bather. I applied at pet smart and got the job! I was so excited to finally be closer to my dream job. I worked there for 2 years before I decided to take the next step and go to grooming school. I was nervous but so ambitious to go. After what seemed like forever I graduated!After graduating I realized that cooporate work was not for me. I had to find something new.
That’s when the perfect opportunity fell right into my lap! I got offered a job here at A Cut Above. So far, though I’ve only worked here a short time, I can safely say I love it here! I am so grateful I chose to follow my heart and get serious about grooming. I can’t imagine where I’d be wasting my time if I didn’t. It makes my heart happy that I can make my customer, furry and human, happy and satisfied! I hope to see you and your furry friend soon❤️🐾

Hey, I’m Matthew!
I’m 24 and one of the bathers here at the salon. I work with both dogs and cats, but I’ve got a soft spot for the kitties — especially since I have three orange cats of my own: Remington, Worm, and Peter.
Outside of work, I’m usually reading, or watching anime. I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making bath time a fun time!
